What a nice visit we have had with our friend Pat. Today, 4-26 we left the best campsite ever! We headed down to Scusset Beach State Park to camp until Monday. I can’t imagine why more people are not here - after all it’s about 50 degrees and heading down to the upper 30’s! What were we thinking! Anyway we are cozy with satellite tv for our ballgames and electric heat. We did have a spot of rain earlier today but it didn’t stop us from taking a short bike ride along the Cape Cod Canal, and I mean short! The wind is blowing about 15-20 mph so biking in one direction is a breeze (no pun intended) but coming back isn’t so much fun! Fortunately we already were aware of this so we just puttered around this day. Tomorrow we are heading to Provincetown (tip of the Cape) to take the Jeep out on the sand dunes. There are only a few places that you can ride the dunes in Massachusetts if you are not a resident and this is one of them. We will actually be in a National Park, Cape Cod National Seashore and we’ll bring our lunch and have a picnic. I am posting a couple of photos of the baby swans that were born while we were staying at Pat’s house. She has a lovely pond across the street and much to our delight the two swans produced 7 cute little swans and posed for us.

Provincetown MA here we come! Les has been dying to drive the Jeep on the dunes here in Mass. So we took off this morning after we packed a lunch and some beach chairs and headed to the Cape Cod National Seashore at Race Point. One quick stop at the "Days Cottages", specificallly Lilac brought back memories for Les as this was the cottage that the family rented each year for many years. We really enjoyed our time on the beach but it was terribly windy so we didn’t get out of the Jeep, picnic in the car! We did see some seals frolicking but they are very difficult to catch on camera. I am posting a photo but it’s not very good however you get the idea!
